Hey guys, it is me once again.

I know I haven’t posted much in terms of content lately, I blame the oppressive heat, not laziness.

Either way, I was going through some old files on various electronics and found a picture that I had to share with you guys. You all might remember that last year ErinLovesTheWeb and I hosted a garage sale. Well, mostly she hosted the garage sale and I just hung out enjoying soda and chocolatey treats.

And doing poi.

Which which an amusing aspect, it made people chuckle, but as the day went on, I acquired more and more wardrobe pieces. One of the final results follows below.

There it is, me wearing various Halloween costume pieces, including a very generically named “Wizard Hat” and the mask on a mid-90’s Quasimodo costume.

Something tells me that I did not wear that costume for very long as I recall it was quite warm.

Speaking of quite warm, I am currently sweating my ass off, and thus I think I am finished, Have fun you guys.

Also, I;m just going to leave this here, enjoy.

P.S. I will not be following the trend of making a more personal post… I’m just not that guy.

And I have returned…

To play with my balls…

So, I finally received my poi set from Home of Poi, and I love it, they really does feel amazing to use. While I don’t currently have photos of the set (I will soon).

As a side note, before I continue, the next “Something bad has happened…” should be posted this weekend.

And now back to the story at hand… My new poi set: I purchased a set that required some assembly, something that I didn’t mind at all. I received them around 3 p.m. and by 4 p.m. I had them spinning freely in the front yard.

After about 20-30 minutes I decided to take a break and watch some television, after finding nothing to watch (because t.v. is bullshit).

I pulled out my mp3 player, charged that motherfucker, and hit random. Two of my favorite songs ever were played in succession, and they might be two of the funnest songs I’ve spun to in awhile. They are listed below…

Either way I think that is it for now. Fuck off…

Left 4 Dead

So, Fisch Fail, INC experienced its first inherited issue with a majority of its authors living under one roof. That is, when something affects one of us, it affects all of us. In this case, a “short” (a little less than 24 hours), power outage.

The thing I find funny is, I was writing an AYCOoB article titled “The Storm,” when the fucking storm knocked out our power…

So, there we are patiently waiting for the power to resume (mostly, so we could get back online, since we are all addicted  that monster…), when the nighttime arrives. The fog rose, the temperature rose, and there was a feeling of “heavy static” everywhere.

Then we heard it, those first infected with the disease. “Patient Zero,” if you will. The moans grew louder, more distinct, the number of moaning “beings” increased. It became a virtual symphony. It was terrifying.

So, what do we do? ErinLovesTheWeb and myself smoked a cigarette while LuzOb ran inside to find the nearest machete…

And comes running outside with it… This is what I see flying through the air…

What. The. Fuck. Is. Wrong. With. My. Friends?

Anyways. As you all know there was no zombie outbreak (sadly enough… It was a shitty day, and I could have used the release…), so what the fuck did we hear? Some group of assholes coughing, laughing, wheezing, burping, and throwing up… I swear the shit sounded just like “Left 4 Dead.”

Seriously, I wish I could eloquently put the scene into words for you guys, but sadly enough, I cannot. That doesn’t mean that I will not try.

Image a suburban neighborhood, rendered pitch-black by Mother Nature herself. The air thick and heavy with moisture, the smell of worms, earth, and ozone filling your nostrils. The world itself filled with electricity (except where it needed to be). A fog rising from the ground like the dead that walk the night. All the neighbors lighting candles and flashlights yelling, making sure everyone else is okay. Then the zombie-like groaning started…

You can see how this could cause a sleepless night. However, that is not where this story ends…

But wait, there’s more

So, I blew out a ball!

That’s right you read that correctly, I just blew out a ball! Well, not exactly. So I stepped outside to rock some poi, and I was listening to these very beautiful songs.

I was just rocking out to it, I mean, I was in another fucking place, not even on earth anymore! And I was fast approaching the end of the second song (Sukla-Krsne), when suddenly the poi that I held in my left felt strange, it was oddly light, and amazingly hard to control. I assumed a ball itself was stuck in the bush I was near, so I twisted, and as I did so, I see something strange.

The sock that holds my poi? The end  is oddly flat and sad looking. The ball is laying a 100 feet from me, my poi is dead. I walk in to see ErinLovesTheWeb enjoying an episode of “Cowboy Bebop,” I remove my headphones and sorrowfully announce, “I broke my ball!”

Needless to say, she was quite confused. But that is all for this tale, just thought I would stop by, make that announcement, and now back to spinning.

Oh! And, there will be a real post from me very soon!

Feels just like the first time.

Turok Glow Stick

So, tonight was my first time ever using night-friendly poi. They were just glow sticks attached to shoe strings, they were substantially lighter than my normal poi which was quite interesting and took quite a bit of time to get used to.

However, the very energetic ErinLovesTheWeb decided to run and grab my camera, we needed to record this very fun event, and share it with all of you. So I present to you all, my first time playing with night-friendly poi, which I am still getting used to, so my lines aren’t nearly as clean as I would like, but there are some interesting views nonetheless.

Also, it took us a while to figure out over-exposure on my camera. Enjoy

Lots of pictures!

A thing of beauty.

Fire poi

So, you have all heard me talk about it briefly in the past, and I’m sure the authors are all getting sick of hearing me talk about it. But I love poi, there it is.

And it is true, I’ve smashed myself in the balls more times than I can count. Hell, in the past 24 hours, it’s been something like 15 times (learning new moves can be painful). But after a while, you start to get used to it (I did floor myself for about ten minutes earlier).

But the reason I love it, is it super relaxing. For instance, the other day, I had one of the worst days I’ve had in a long time. But I got home, changed, grabbed my poi, and within ten minutes, I was feeling remarkably better. It was amazing. Although, it wasn’t as amazing as doing Poi in heavy rain. Refreshing and relaxing. Couldn’t have been happier.

So, I guess I should talk about my first set then? They were made from children’s knee high socks (two pack from Meijers) and tennis balls. The entire setup cost me $10 (and I got two sets, one for me and the other for ErinLovesTheWeb). They were nothing fancy (although, I should probably say they are nothing fancy, ErinLovesTheWeb is currently twirling the one’s I’ve been throwing for a few months now).

But wait,there’s more!
